Fiji too strong for Canada in Pacific Nations Cup.
Four-time defending champions Fiji look set to relinquish their Pacific Nations Cup title, but bounced back from a first-round loss in style with a crushing win over Canada in Suva on Saturday evening.
After going down 34-21 away to Japan last weekend, Fiji returned home and put on plenty of their trademark flair in a 38-13, six-tries-to-one, dismantling of the world No 21 Canadians, despite having just 38 per cent territory and 48 per cent possession.
While Canada, who were coming off a 47-19 defeat away to the USA, opened the scoring early off the tee, Fiji got away to a flier, as they piled on three tries in the opening half hour.
